Overview

The Danville Hazardous Materials Response Team was founded in July 1990 and consists of approximately 30 members trained to a minimum level of of HazMat Technician. The team is funded by the City of Danville and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and responds to incidents in the City of Danville as well as statewide when needed. The team is trained to function in an offensive manner to control the unwanted release of hazardous materials, thus protecting persons, property, and the environment.
